The PCIe Gen3 8-Lane to Slimline SAS HD (SFF-8654) 8i Adapter is a high-performance storage connectivity solution that can be configured in two different data width configurations (x4 or x8). It features a built-in SFF-8654 8i Slimline SAS connector, with a pin-out defined by PCIe, and supports up to eight internal lanes for SFF-8654 8i, with a data transfer rate of 6.4GB/s. The adapter features a dual-port PCIe Gen 3 NVMe controller and supports two physical NVMe devices. It also supports SFF-9402 clock & perst# pin out and Intel Define Slimline SAS SFF-8654 clock & perst# pin out, enabling the system perst# signal to be used over longer trace lengths and over a cable. The adapter is compliant with NVM Express 1.2a, PCI Express Base Specification Rev 3.0, SSD_Form_Factor_Version1_a, and SFF-8654 Specification Version 1.2.
