This assembly powers your Slimline 13 Pin SATA Drive using the USB double cable connector to produce 5V power with more amperage. The optical DVD drives can require more than 1 USB port to power these drives. The 7 pin ESATA cable is for DATA. The assembly is perfect to use on your BLU Ray drive or an optical drive. The cable make using the drive externally that much easier.
